I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
