The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
